Choosing the right ceiling fan size for your room
56 or 48 inches? A quick guide by room size, ceiling height and power use.
Measure the room first
Rooms up to 12 × 12 ft are well served by a 48" fan; larger rooms and lounges need a 56". For long halls, two fans beat one big one.
Mind the ceiling
Keep the blades 8–9 ft above the floor: use a shorter down-rod on low ceilings.
Think about the bill
A DC inverter fan such as the EcoBreeze draws about 30 W against 80 W for a standard fan, and runs three times longer on a UPS during load-shedding.
